Precious Pepala shares her newest single “Looking For Trouble”. The track details a young woman’s fears as she walks alone at night.

“‘Looking for Trouble’ is a song about rape culture and victim blaming. It addresses the unfortunately relatable feeling of fear when walking alone at night as a female. The lyrics also address the way that victims of sexual abuse are all too commonly questioned about things such as their clothing, actions or level of intoxication as if to justify predatory behavior. I feel very passionately about discussing this subject matter through my music and I hope this song acts as a conversation starter, because these issues need to be discussed until we see change.” Pepala said.

Pepala is not new to the music industry, she grew up singing in church, as well as starting a girlband in school, which eventually led her to start writing her own songs. At just 17 years old, “Looking For Trouble” is her second released song, her debut being “My Eyes Only’.

Pepala's incredible lyricism speaks to her generation in this track, with lines “She’s cold and she’s drunk, A little red riding her luck in the hood, She’s asking for trouble, Oh, that’s what they’ll say if trouble comes heading her way”. She uses a rich variety of influences in her music from RnB to pop and they are tremendously blended and cohesive.

Pepala uses her platform to bring attention to big issues in todays society and that is exactly what the world needs.
