Noah Kahan closes an era with Stick Season (Forever)

As a final goodbye to Stick Season, Grammy nominee Noah Kahan releases Stick Season (Forever), a deluxe album packed with collabs as well as a new song. Coming from a small town in Vermont, Kahan rose to fame with the release of his third album Stick Season back in the summer of 2023 and is now one of the biggest artists in the world. Noah Kahan is a master storyteller and dives into relatable topics on the record such as struggling with your mental health, change, and addiction.

Since the birth of Stick Season, Kahan has worked with a range of artists, adding variety to his already beloved music. Post Malone, Lizzy McAlpine, Kacey Musgraves, Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Sam Fender, Brandi Carlile, and Gregory Alan Isakov can all be found on the album.

‘Forever’ is a new song Kahan added that just screams nostalgia like the rest of the album. Rethinking the meaning of “forever”, Kahan recalls a place that he used to go to get drunk and is now there with a lover. “When we kissed in the car in the school parking lot / Where I’d go with my friends to get drunk / Used to wish I meant anything to anywhere, to anyone”, a place can remain the same but change with different experiences. Undergoing a change isn’t always a bad thing. You have the ability to change a place by making new positive memories there. Half way through it picks up and you can feel the emotions rise, the acoustic guitar pumps nostalgia into the song along with the passion in Kahan’s voice.

Kahan took to Instagram to wish this era a farewell and how the word “forever” used to terrify him.

Noah Kahan will be touring this summer, hitting new milestones playing famous venues like the O2, two nights back to back at Madison Square Garden, as well as two nights at Fenway Park to close out the tour in his home of New England.
