Dogpark revives the spirit of ’90s indie rock with their new single, “I Don’t Mind”

From college backyards and basements to the main scene, indie rock band Dogpark is back with another single titled “I Don’t Mind.” Originally formed at the University of Richmond in 2023, Dogpark consists of Eamon Moore (lead vocals), Christian Conte (drums), Declan Harris (lead guitar), and Billy Apostolou (guitar). Known for their indie-rock edge and nostalgic 90s-inspired sound, the band feels like a natural addition to any classic mixtape.

Dogpark began their musical journey mostly as a cover band, but have since exceeded that image, making a name for themselves. Their first single, “Not It’s Over,” released nearly two years ago, has since amassed over 4 million streams on Spotify. Their debut EP, Breaking in Brooklyn, featured five tracks that earned widespread attention for their new take on classic rock and distinctive sound.

Since then, the band has stayed busy releasing new music and touring across the U.S. In March 2025, they dropped Until the Tunnel Vision Melts, and “I Don’t Mind” marked their third single since. So far, Dogpark hasn’t missed a beat.

“I Don’t Mind” stands out as my favorite new release from the foursome. Snappy drums, killer guitar solos, and expansive vocals make this track an undeniable standout in the band’s growing catalog. The accompanying music video shows the boys taking over an office, transforming a 9-to-5 into indie rock chaos.

The song opens with a bright electric guitar and frontman Moore’s longing vocals: “Can't hide in the city tonight / The homeless, crones, and the corner store Joes / Are watching over every aisle.”Often compared to Jeff Buckley, Moore’s voice once again proves to be a defining element of Dogpark’s sound, emotive, powerful, and distinct.

The crisp drumline picks up as the chorus builds: “I don’t mind / I’ll save you from the fire / Only if you hold my hand.” Dynamic guitar riffs intertwine with Moore’s vast range to create a perfect storm of sound. Dogpark knows how to make a captivating chorus that draws you in.

One of the standouts for me in this track is between choruses. There is a very dynamic guitar breakdown that’s reminiscent of classic rock. The 4-piece band consistently improves their craft with each release, pushing their musicianship and production further.

Dogpark continues to push the edge of the new wave of indie rock, blending compelling vocals with impressive instrumentation. Currently in the midst of their 42-stop U.S. tour, they’re playing venues like The Troubadour, Lincoln Hall, and Irving Plaza, proving they’re only getting stronger.

Listen to Dogpark’s new single “I Don’t Mind” and catch them live at one of their remaining dates!
