Hayley Williams, Mitski, Ethel Cain, Brandi Carlile, and more: A Dazzling Weekend at All Things Go 2026!
What started off as a local festival at Union Market in Washington, D.C., All Things Go has expanded over the years into an epic multi-city festival spanning Toronto, NYC, and the D(M)V (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). This year marks All Things Go’s 12th anniversary, and this year’s lineup in Columbia, Maryland, was not one to miss. All Things Go is known for highlighting women and LGBTQIA+ voices, and this year was no different, with a stacked lineup including Mitski, Ethel Cain, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, MUNA, Remi Wolf, Lola Young, Tinashe, and many more! Even beyond the stage, All Things Go takes an active approach to uplifting diverse communities. This year, the festival teamed up with organizations such as HeadCount to encourage festival attendees to vote and Amplify Her Voice to support women in the music industry.
This fall the DMV festival took place at Merriweather Post Pavilion. The layout of the festival included two stages: the Pavilion Stage and Chrysalis Stage. The Pavilion Stage included a GA pit, seating under the pavilion, and a grassy lawn area for crowds to set up blankets and tarps to enjoy each set from a comfortable distance. Across the other side of Merriweather and tucked amongst the forest trees was the bright green arch of the Chrysalis Stage. This side of the festival grounds felt completely connected to nature.
All Things Go has always been for music lovers. While Friday began bright and sunny, the remaining days of the festival had a hazy mist of rain on and off throughout each day. The change in weather did not deter the music fans. On Saturday and Sunday, there was a sea of rain ponchos, umbrellas, and tarps across the grassy field of Merriweather Post Pavilion. There was a true dedication from the audience to be present for their favorite performers, with fans lining up at doors hours before the gates opened and even traveling across the muddy grounds from one stage to the next to catch their favorite artists.
On Friday, the Chrysalis Stage brought many high-energy performances. Rico Nasty led a strong performance, fully engaging the crowd during her hit songs like “OHFR?” and “Tia Tamara.” Her punk-rap sound had the crowd head-banging and dancing during her entire set.
The dance vibes continued at the Chrysalis Stage with Underscores, who is also opening for Charli XCX on her U.S. tour. The audience was full of excitement, with fans jumping and chanting back the words to her songs.
A highly anticipated performance for Friday’s lineup was Slayyyter, also at the Chrysalis Stage. Slayyyter has been a true powerhouse across multiple festival lineups this year, including her famous Coachella and Lollapalooza sets, which drew in crowds of thousands of people. Her performance at All Things Go also drew in a devoted crowd. Many amongst the audience wore Slayyyter merch from her latest album WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA: hats with the album title and shirts spray-painted with a “$”. Slayyyter’s stage setup included a constructed house and a merry-go-round horse. She began her performance by entering through the door of the house, greeting and waving at her fans. Her set included songs that fans knew word by word, including “DANCE…”, “OLD TECHNOLOGY”, “CRANK”, “YAS GODDD” and “BEAT UP CHANEL$.”
Across the festival grounds, the vibes came to a moody close to the evening. Ethel Cain performed her fan-favorite songs that brought a sense of nostalgia, including “American Teenager”, “Crush”, and “Gibson Girl.” Ethel delivered a performance that had the crowd in awe. She concluded her set, noting this was the finale of her 100+ city tour. Truly a captivating and memorable ending to this era of her music.
Friday closed out with a stunning performance from Mitski. Her dreamy and opera-like vocals captivated the audience during her set.
Kevin Atwater began Saturday at the Pavilion Stage. The air was misty with rain and the day felt like the first true day of fall. The energy of Kevin’s performance was calming and had the audience swaying in sync to the rhythm of his vocals. A standout moment was when Kevin brought out his clarinet and began playing during his song “til august.”
MUNA’s performance perfectly encapsulated girlhood and friendship. Throughout songs like “It Gets So Hot” and “Wannabeher”, fans joined together in unison to sing the lyrics back to the band. At one point during MUNA’s performance, the back of the pit opened into an intimate circle, and a group of friends collided together, dancing and cheering. As MUNA’s set progressed, the atmosphere was like a giant dance party.
In anticipation of seeing Hayley Williams, many fans stayed at the Pavilion Stage. But that did not stop the crowd from being locked in on Zara Larsson’s performance. The Pavilion Stage had 2 large screens where fans could watch Zara’s set happening across Merriweather. Zara’s set was one no one wanted to miss. She entered the stage glammed out in shimmer highlighter and an aqua sparkly outfit. Zara and her crew of dancers had the most impressive choreography throughout her set. Partway through her set, she invited a fan onto the stage for her concert tradition of doing the choreography with her for her song “Lush Life.” Afterwards, Zara gave the excited fan a T-shirt, asking what she should spray paint onto the shirt. Zara drew a pink heart and the two shared a hug. Her set ended with confetti exploding through the sky, a celebration of music and joy.
Hayley Williams was an epic conclusion to Saturday night’s set. During her song “Ice In My OJ”, lamps descended from the sky, and Hayley commanded the stage in front of a giant megaphone. She started off the song by proclaiming “FUCK ICE” and “FREE PALESTINE”! The crowd cheered with agreement and applauded her directness in fusing art with political justice— as it should be. During the song, the audience joined Hayley in singing the chorus lyrics. During her set, a smoky haze filled the air, and she took a seat facing away from the audience. The cameras zoomed in on Hayley as her makeup artist began applying glitter onto her face. The entire performance felt like entering into a performance art piece.
Sunday was stacked with indie and rock sets. On the Pavilion Stage, Wes Parker delivered a set with hypnotic guitar riffs and vocals. The rain was at a steady, light pace and creating a cool atmosphere. Next up, Jake Minch delivered an emotionally intimate set on his acoustic guitar. Fans across the GA pit sang along to his vocals and admired his storytelling.
The Pavilion Stage continued with a stellar performance from Tiny Habits. The trio, originally from Boston, hyped up the energy on the main stage. With their vocals syncing and harmonizing perfectly, Tiny Habits recently released their album Keepers, and it was clear fans in the audience knew the album well already.
Remi Wolf delivered a powerful and exciting performance. Her new album Mud is set to release October 8th and as a treat played several new songs for the attendees at All Things Go. The crowd listened attentively and jammed to her new tunes. A clear crowd favorite was the song “Champagne” from her new album.
Off the Record had a chance to link up with 5 incredible artists who set the tone for an incredible weekend: Wolf Alice, googly eyes, Jake Minch, Susannah Joffe, & Tiny Habits. All Things Go 2026 DMV was full of so many stellar performances, and fans are excited to see what’s to come next year!
