Chicago based duo, Friko, announce their debut album, "Where we've been, Where we go from here", out February 16th, 2024 on ATO Records. This news follows the release of the single, “Crashing Through” as well as the music video.

“Crashing Through” is a track of deep lyricism and the album-wide theme of “wanting better for yourself and the people around you, but wondering how you can do that with the world we live in,” as lead vocalist/guitarist Niko Kapetan phrased it.

The accompanying “Crashing Through” video, directed by Alec Basse, is the physical embodiment of this song and features the evergrowing network of Friko’s friends and fellow artists, and portrays a sense of community that Friko has inherited.

“Where we’ve been, Where we go from here” combines post-punk, chamber-pop, and experimental rock to magnify Friko’s known talent of poeticism and intensity. You can preorder the album here.

Friko will set out on a mini North American tour, hitting the east coast and ending with two dates in Wisconsin. Tickets are available for purchase at whoisfriko.com.
