Holly Humberstone x MUNA Collaborate On New Version Of ‘Into Your Room’

With her debut album Paint My Bedroom Black only recently released in October of this year, Holly Humberstone is already mixing it up and has collaborated with joyous indie-pop band MUNA on a brand new version of her hit track ‘Into Your Room’.

It’s a dreamy collaboration, reminiscent of the intense, life-altering crushes and the lingering pain of pining for someone, with MUNA’s Katie Gavin singing on the second verse “Don’t make me stand outside in the pouring rain, with a freshly ripped human heart from my ribcage, and a boom-box, how pathetic, babe.’ The lyrics punctuate the alt-dream-pop melody that makes you want to dance. The song ends with the chorus on repeat: ‘Without you, my soul is eternally doomed, you’re the centre of this universe, my sorry ass revolves around you’, jarring against the sparkling alt-dance beat. Even though it’s a song about a tumultuous relationship, it’s perfect for blasting in the car.

Holly said about the collaboration, “I’m obsessed with MUNA and have been wanting to work with them for ages; I’m so thankful that I finally get to have them bring their magic to one of my songs.”

Holly Humberstone is going on tour in 2024, with dates including London’s Eventim Apollo on March 13th, New York City’s Brooklyn Steel on May 11th/12th and LA’s The Bellwether on May 23rd.
