Green Day confirm they’ll perform ‘Dookie‘ and ‘American Idiot’ in full on summer 2024 tour

The iconic 80’s/90’s rock band, Green Day, will be returning to the stage with their summer 2024 “The Saviors Tour”.

Bassist Mike Dirnt confirmed this to Rolling Stone saying, “We’ve never done anything like this before. And there’s a really good chance we’ll never do it again.”

The tour, in which they’ll be celebrating the 30th of ‘Dookie’ and 20th anniversary of ‘American Idiot’, and playing the entirety of both records in full, has an estimated over two hour long set list. It will be concluded with a finality of over half an hour of fan-favorite classics from the rest of their discography, and singles from their January release, ‘Saviors’.

The tour will be accompanied by special guests The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas.

Green Day will kick off the late spring spring and early summer with a mix of festival and headlining European stops before the tour and then begin the North American leg on June 29 in Washington, D.C. and wrapping up Sept. 28 at Petco Park in San Diego. The group is also playing a special SiriusXM show at New York’s Irving Plaza on Thursday night, just hours before releasing Saviors. Tickets are available for sale at www.greenday.com/tour.
