Bad Omens releases their first single in two years

Disappearing Instagram accounts, cryptic messages on their website, and teaser clips caused an uproar amongst Bad Omens fans over the past couple weeks. The mysterious activity led to the release of the band’s first single since their third album The Death of Peace of Mind back in 2022. ‘V.A.N’ or Violence Against Nature is the first step closer to Concrete Forever which is rumored to be the deluxe version of The Death of Peace of Mind. Concrete Forever will feature more collaborations with other artists, remixes, and acoustic renditions. The new single and music video stars fellow metal artist Poppy, who will be joining Bad Omens on their European tour later this month. Poppy’s vocals on the new record are hypnotic and alluring backed by a heavy and industrial instrumental, immediately entrancing the listener.

Noah Sebastian, the lead singer of Bad Omens actually doesn’t sing whatsoever on the track. Instead he takes on a behind the scenes role and produced the song. While this isn’t the first time Sebastian has produced a track, it is the first time for the band that he isn’t singing at all.

In the music video, Poppy can be seen in a lab with eerie flashing lights, doctors running tests on her. As the video progresses, she breaks free and attempts to escape the lab, destroying everything in her path. The chilling visuals give off an American Horror Story vibe.

To see the debut of the single live for the very first time, the band will have their show available on Veeps.
