Luke Hemmings introduces his second solo project, 'boy'
While the band is on a hiatus, 5 Seconds of Summer’s front man Luke Hemmings is taking advantage of the free time with the upcoming release of his second solo project ‘boy’ as well as a supporting tour. ‘boy’ is a seven track EP set to be out to the world on April 26. Hemmings began teasing the new music and put out the leading single called ‘Shakes’, and a second look into the EP was ‘Close My Eyes’.
The highly anticipated EP will be out in ten days and fans cannot wait. Hemmings first solo album When Facing the Things We Turn Away From was so well received, carrying a somber, melancholy vibe, diving into the deep depths of feelings during the pandemic. ‘boy’ seems like it will hold a more uplifting, dreamy vibe and have the signature 80’s synth sound that Hemmings is known for.
Hemmings will be embarking on his first solo tour in May, beginning in Europe, then spanning across the U.S., and ending in his home country, Australia.
