Basement Announces First New Album in Eight Years

Basement has announced their long awaited return with WIRED, a new album set to release May 8. It has been eight years since Basement’s previous album, Beside Myself, was released. Last week, the band posted a phone number on their Instagram and when called, played a new song of theirs, confirming new music. The band later released two singles, “WIRED” and “Broken By Design”. With the release of “Broken By Design”, Basement expressed on Instagram, “This song came together so naturally for us. One of the first tracks we wrote altogether while demoing at Electrical Audio in 2024. After years of breaks, uncertainty, and near endings, writing it helped us reconnect with the pure, free spirit that defined us in our earliest days. We hope you enjoy.” 

The album will feature twelve new tracks that fans can now pre-save. Basement is set to play some shows in Europe, starting in June. Listen to “WIRED” and “Broken By Design”, out now.
