Florence + The Machine Announces Halloween Album ‘Everybody Scream’
Big news for witches, goblins, and ghouls: Florence + The Machine has announced their sixth album ‘Everybody Scream’ that will shriek its way onto streaming, vinyl, CD, and cassette this Halloween.
The London-based band (or should I say coven) is composed of frontwoman and vocalist Florence Welch, keyboardist Isabella Summers, guitarist Rob Ackroyd, drummer Christopher Lloyd Hayden and harpist Tom Monger. Florence + The Machine first roared into the music scene in 2009 with their debut album ‘Lungs’ that cemented them as an eccentric pop-rock powerhouse.
Based on the album’s titular track “Everybody Scream” and accompanying music video that was dropped quickly after the album’s announcement, Florence + the Machine has clawed into their characteristic lush sound and flair for the dramatic to this upcoming project.
In the macabre music video directed by Autumn de Wilde, Florence Welch spellbinds in a red dress as she dances among a screaming chorus of witches and possessed patrons in a candle-lit room. If that sounds like your idea of a good time, presave the ‘Everybody Scream’ album here. A tour hasn’t been announced as of yet, but follow Florence + The Machine’s website for updates.
