Gracie Abrams announces "The Secret of Us" tour
Following the announcement of her sophomore album, The Secret of Us, Gracie Abrams revealed the accompanying tour on June 3, just over two weeks before the album drops. The Secret of Us tour is sandwiched between two runs opening for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, where she has already captivated stadiums full of music lovers. But on her own headlining run, Abrams is slotted to play at many historic venues, including Nashville’s The Ryman and NYC’s Radio City Music Hall, with special guest Role Model.
The tour will land in 18 different cities, though Abrams teased that she may announce additional dates in the future. From Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine, Abrams appears ready to celebrate her upcoming release with fans. “The whole time we were writing the album, all I could think about was being in the same room as you — playing these songs, collectively screaming and dancing and also maybe crying for fun,” she wrote in the announcement on Instagram.
While fans wait in anticipation of this monumental tour, the lead single, “Risk,” will have to do until she drops the long-awaited “Close To You” this Friday. Seven years after writing this song, Abrams will release the song as a “bonus track pre-deluxe,” as she said in an Instagram post. “We made a demo that I posted 20 seconds of and you somehow cared about it enough for us to revisit the song seven years later,” she wrote. “I got impatient and wanted you all to have it early.”
The Secret of Us tour general sale begins on June 7 at 10 am local time. Find the full list of tour dates and purchase information on Gracie Abrams’ official website.
