Beloved indie trio, Men I Trust, reported exciting news in a recent Instagram post—for the first time in over a year and a half, they will be releasing new music. A single, they announced, is set to drop at midnight this Tuesday, September 10th.

The Québécois band has been busy touring, seemingly nonstop, for the past several years (and with no sign of slowing, either). In between supporting Melanie Martinez and Khruangbin on their tours, they’ve brought their hypnotic sound to the summer’s most sought after music fests. With so little down time to spend in the studio, the announcement came as a pleasant surprise to many.

We haven’t heard new music from the group since single, “Ring of Past”, was released on February 16, 2023. With their last full length album dated August 2021, fans are speculating whether this upcoming release will mark the start of a new era, and a corresponding album. So far, the single remains unnamed. Shared along with the announcement was the presumed cover artwork for the song: a painting of a somber looking clown wearing a pointy red hat adorned with stars.
