The Best Record Store Day Exclusive Vinyls and Where To Get Them
This Saturday, April 18th, is Record Store Day, a time to celebrate independent record stores and the incredible people who run them. For almost 20 years, RSD has brought together the staff, customers, and artists who make up the record store world, encouraging communities to support local brick-and-mortar stores through special-release vinyl that is exclusive to indie stores. Coming together for independently owned record stores is more important than ever, especially with corporate giants like Amazon and Target capitalizing on the vinyl resurgence over the past few years.
This year’s lineup of exclusive RSD vinyl is packed with exciting releases from artists new and old, and the staff at Off the Record has put together a few picks that we’re especially eager to see hit the vinyl bins on Saturday. Check out those releases below, along with a few of our favorite independent record stores across the country, and be sure to support your local store on Saturday (and anytime you buy physical media!).
