Your Region, Your Local Artist to Know

House shows and DIY sets are having a resurgence, and with them, a new generation of up-and-coming indie artists is carving a space for themselves within their local music scenes in a time when music distribution has never been more accessible. But accessibility produces its own problem: When there are so many options, how do artists stand out in an oversaturated market, and how do listeners know where to begin when on the hunt for their next sonic obsession?

Look no further. We’re cutting through the noise with a list of some of our favorite local indie bands and artists across the U.S. and abroad. From surf punk to folk rock, these musicians are worth a deep dive.
