Rightfield @ Baylor University

WACO SEPTEMBER 30TH

Nashville-based alternative rock band Rightfield ended September with a bang at the Delta Night Live event at Baylor University on Friday night. Lead singer Jack Blocker, guitarist Reed Hoelscher and drummer Grant Byrd brought an incredible stage presence to Waco Hall.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with many bands and musicians in my concert photography career thus far, and Rightfield takes the cake as one of my all-time favorites. It’s refreshing to see an opener bring insane energy and hype up the crowd… sometimes even more than the headlining band! If you’re a fan of bands like Lany, Vampire Weekend, The Backseat Lovers, COIN, The Killers or The Band CAMINO, you’ll love Rightfield.

The highlight of the show was definitely hearing them perform “Big Tex” again after seeing them live in July for the first time. It’s the kind of song you can’t help but listen to on repeat with the windows down… so much so I once streamed it over thirty times in one day. Rightfield’s new single “New York'' comes out on October 13th and I had the honor of getting my own sneak peek - trust me, if you’re not on the Rightfield train now, you DEFINITELY will be this October.
