Anxious brings the heat to Chicago

Chicago, Illinois - October 8th, 2023

Hailing from Connecticut, the 5 piece hardcore/ pop-punk band Anxious brought their energy to put on a perfect performance at The Riviera Theater in Chicago. Opening for such a tenured band, The Wonder Years, can be nerve racking, and yet the band held their own. Coming on to the stage with huge smiles on their faces, their energy was contagious. Regardless of if the fans in the crowd knew the lyrics, there was no excuse but to not be moving.

“Move up, get closer”, lead singer Grady Allen said several times throughout the set, a demand that might be a first for some in this post pandemic age of shows. The crowd obliged, and throughout the night, concert goers would be seen crowd surfing to get closer.

The set only being 30 minutes, had everyone itching for more. Their setlist, opened with “Your  One Way Street,” featured a new single, “Down, Down” and of course their most popular song “Call From You”.

During The Wonder Years' set, lead singer Dan Campbell said, “When we started this band 18 years ago, three members of Anxious were three years old.” Knowing that this band of fresh legal adults are the new faces of this music scene is exciting and gives everyone hope into what's to come. The future is in good hands.
