Radiate @ Beat Kitchen

On Monday, March 20 at the second ever RADIATE, four local Chicago artists came together to give Monday-night-music-lovers a night to remember.

Radiator Agency, a Chicago-based boutique entertainment agency was born in 2022 out of the passion to guide artists and events to success. It was inspired by a desire to create a safe space for music to exist in its purest form: LIVE, and driven by their aspiration to have these spaces serve up-and-coming musicians to share their music and network. RADIATE is curated to explore what’s new and happening in the Chicago music scene by music lovers and industry folks. Every last Monday of the month they put on a show at Beat Kitchen, showcasing new local artists.

RADIATE

The night kicked off with Rain Garden, a group of four talented musicians playing their hearts out to the growing crowd. The band made sure to stop and lead a happy birthday song to their guitarist, Maya, who was celebrating their birthday. The group’s alt-rock jams were the perfect way to open.

The band Almost There But Not Really carried the energy created by Rain Garden throughout their set. Celebrating their South Side roots, the Latinx indie group of four gave the crowd a taste of their released music from the last two years. The band surprised the audience with an untitled, unreleased song.

Mila La Morena won over the crowd’s hearts when she took the stage. Between their incredible stage presence and crowd interaction, they gave a performance to remember. Their set provided the crowd with a liveliness that surpassed any language barriers to her Spanish lyricism.

The last band, Future Nobodies, brought the night home with unforgettable songs that had the entire room captivated. The group’s self-proclaimed “sad happy music to dance to” certainly lived up to its statement. The crowd moved to the music, closing out the night with a wonderful performance by yet another talented group of Chicagoan artists.

The night left the bands with smiles on their faces, some broken strings, and a few broken picks after playing their hearts out. The concert-goers left with newfound support for local bands and anticipation for next month’s show at Beat Kitchen.
