Mt Joy @ Beak and Skiff

Mt Joy captivated one of New York's most beautiful venues. Atop a hill, nestled in an apple orchard, is Beak and Skiffs outdoor performing stage, setting the perfect atmosphere for the folk/indie band.
Playing two sets, with a break in between, they started off just before the sun began to set. Performing a number of their songs with the large crowd dancing and singing along, creating a calm, comforting, fun energy throughout the grounds. Shortly after the sun had set they took a break from their first set.
As the second set began you could feel a shift in the energy, things picked up a bit and the crowd was loving it. The band members were having jam sessions mixed in between the songs and their energy was cohesively elevated, feeding off one another the entire night.
The best way I could describe a Mt Joy show is a warm inviting environment, with a soothing sound and incredible instrumentals.
They have a lengthy tour ahead of them and will also be accompanying Greta Van Fleet on their Starcatcher Tour this winter, so be sure to catch one of their remaining shows!
