Weezer @ Toyota Music Pavillon

DALLAS - June 6th, 2023

Weezer’s Indie Rock Roadtrip made its way to Dallas, Texas for a sold out show this past week!

The stage was set as a camper van bringing along the sold out crowd on the ultimate indie rock roadtrip as the band performed a variety of songs from their discography accompanied by creative and captivating visuals. The energy was high throughout the night as they played fan favorites including ‘Beverly Hills’, ‘Say It Ain’t So’, and ‘Buddy Holly’ which had fans jumping up and down even in the very last row. Lead singer, Rivers Cuomo, mentioned how since their formation as a band, they’ve released 135 songs; so this tour he wants to play one song he never gets to play each night. The song for Dallas ended up being the more recently released ‘Do You Wanna Get High‘ which was a fun surprise for fans.

As a household name of alternative rock, Weezer has maintained a solid following and garnered consistent support from fans throughout the years, notable by the impressive turnout. What stood out the most was their consistency in sound and quality of performance as artists, performing songs live today with the same quality and energy as when they were originally released 20-30 years ago.

As the show came to a close, and while the members came together to take their bows, the iconic flying =W= hand sign could be seen throughout the crowd signifying the fans’ gratitude. The appreciation each member has for their fans could be felt as they looked out into the sea of cheering people, thanking them for being there and spending the night with them and their music.

This roadtrip is just kicking off so don’t miss the opportunity to tag along for a night of nostalgia in a city near you!
