Spanish Love Songs Rock Warsaw in Brooklyn, New York
Brooklyn, New York - April 27th, 2024
Spanish Love Songs, an influential band in the current emo scene, formed over 10 years ago in Los Angeles California, and are still rocking today. Recently playing the charming Warsaw in Brooklyn New York on April 28th, which doubles as a Polish restaurant, community center, and live music venue, they drew in a diverse crowd of both young and old to their lively four-band lineup.
The show was opened by Worry Club, a Chicago-based band formed in 2020. Their high-energy performance got the crowd moving and ready, setting a great energy for the rest of the bands. They were followed by Sydney Sprague, all the way from Arizona, who performed an upbeat and catchy set, offering some intimacy after Worry Club’s more rowdy performance. They were then proceeded by Oso Oso, a band from Long Beach New York, made up of one permanent member, Jade Lilitri, and his current touring band. Oso Oso set the stage for Spanish Love Songs, drawing in large amounts of excitement as their set came to an end.
Spanish Love Songs entered the stage in their usual fashion, full of energy and excitement, and eager to start playing music for their awaiting fans. Made up of singer and guitarist Dylan Slocum, guitarist Kyle McAulay, bassist Trevor Dietrich, drummer Ruben Durarte, and last but certainly not least, keyboardist Meridith Van Woert, Spanish Love Songs fills the stage with an unforgettable presence. Playing both older classics and newer songs off their most recent album, No Joy, released in 2023, they are passionate about the art they create and the performances they give.
Spanish Love Songs brought incredible energy to Warsaw this past weekend and are a little over two-thirds through their 2024 North American Tour, meaning there still might be time to catch a show in a city near you!
