ERRA shuts down Toronto's Danforth Music Hall

toronto, canada- may 29th 2024

ERRA took over Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on Wednesday night, meeting a room full of screaming fans ready to crowd surf and mosh, and shut down the building with the confidence of seasoned pros. Pushing an already buzzing crowd through the roof, ERRA dialed the energy in the room up to 10 after three incredible openers; Make Them Suffer, Void of Vision, and Novelists. Within the first couple of songs, ERRA promised to turn the crowd into “a room full of feral creatures” by the end of the night and far exceeded their expectations.

Towards the end of their Cure North America tour, the band commands the stage, and the room, with ease. Made up of lead vocalist J.T. Cavey, guitarist and singer Jesse Cash, guitarist Clint Tustin, Conor Hesse on bass, and Alex Ballew on drums, ERRA was locked in from the moment they stepped on stage. The band oozes confidence and pride in their music as they make their domination of the stage look easy. J.T. Cavey and Jesse Cash split vocals beautifully and are matched by an equally powerful rhythm section to create their full, domineering sound.

Playing a mix of old and new songs, ERRA offers something for every fan, uniting lifetime followers and newer fans throughout the set list. From tracks such as “White Noise” off of their sophomore album Impulse, to songs off of other records such as Augment, Drift, and their self titled, ERRA, the band proves their whole discography is heavy and hard hitting all the way through.Tracks from their latest album, Cure, dominate the set list, and for good reason as the crowd screams and jumps along to every song the band plays.

No matter whether the band is singing, screaming, or barking, the audience eats up every moment they are on stage and begs for more, chanting the band’s name during pauses between songs. Time disappears through the setlist as the crowd jumps, screams and dives as every track is met with excited cheers. The dedication of fans, lined up down the street before the doors opened, is clear, and it's not hard to imagine why. ERRA sounds just as good live as their records, and they have the energy and charisma to match, proving that they’re a must see band for any metal fan.

If you missed them on this tour, be sure to stream their latest album Cure, or catch them on their EU and UK run this summer, filled with a mix of festivals, headline shows, and shows supporting Thy Art is Murder and While She Sleeps, respectively.
