Quadeca immerses Thalia Hall in lush waves of sound on his “Vanisher, Horizon Scraper” tour

october 12th, 2025 - chicago, illinois

After the release of his astounding fifth album, Vanisher, Horizon Scraper, earlier this year, Quadeca finally brings his new record to stage on the Vanisher, Horizon Scraper tour. His set opened with the hauntingly peaceful “NO QUESTIONS ASKED.” The band took the reins and instantly showed how the beauty of Vanisher, Horizon Scraper only blossomed further when brought to the stage, demonstrating flawless dynamics throughout every moment of the song. As the delicate performance climbed up to a booming roar, Quadeca finally came out on stage and raised the signature Vanisher flag alongside a mesmerizing chorus of lights that emphasized the raw feelings of the music.

It was clear that he was going to give Chicago his all for the concert as soon as he picked up the microphone. Though he confessed that he was a little under the weather, his performance of “AT A TIME LIKE THIS” showed no hesitation in any regard. Quadeca’s voice was simply heavenly throughout the entire show, radiating a rich warmth in the live setting. His vocals throughout the entire show felt personal and endearing, and he instantly connected with each and every person in the audience.

Alongside the incredible support from his band, his suave performances of tracks like “GODSTAINED” and “MONDAY” were moving enough to make anyone in the crowd shed a tear. He continued to demonstrate his unabashed passion on full display with the gut-wrenching performance of “Abandon Me,” Quadeca’s feature on Kevin Abstract’s recent record, Blush. Quadeca’s vocals were silky and moving, creating the perfect pairing with the striking piano and electronic accompaniment.

The setlist balanced well between emotional hard-hitters and gritty, upbeat anthems from his discography. The crowd lit up whenever Quadeca dove into tracks from his 2024 mixtape Scrapyard. “GUESS WHO?” and “EVEN IF I TRIED” invigorated fans to dance and scream throughout every second of the songs. With an already high energy performance, these songs were only further elevated by the playfulness Quadeca and his band approached with their live arrangements.

Quadeca continued to bring the audience fully into the show with a collaborative element for a few of the tracks from Vanisher, Horizon Scraper. Instead of just letting a loop fill in parts of the song, he first invited fans to sing the leading parts of the background vocals for the song “NATURAL CAUSES.” As an already emotionally intense track with an ominous undertone, this element paradoxically built both the sense of unease as well as a unifying connection between everyone in the hall.

He continued this element of the performance for his next track, “THUNDRRR.” The build-up exploded with a deluge of sound and energy at the beginning of the track, immediately making the crowd go wild at the song’s beat drop. The middle of Thalia Hall opened wide for a booming mosh pit with people belting every single second of the song. While a significant tonal shift within the concert, he pulled it off perfectly and made “THUNDRRR” a moment that no one in the crowd could possibly forget.

As Quadeca approached his last few songs of the show, he switched gears once more for another emotional track. Vulnerability and honesty rang throughout the entirety of Thalia Hall for Quadeca’s performance of the windward ballad, “FORGONE.” “FORGONE” highlighted just Quadeca, his piano, and the chorus of the crowd singing along. It was nearly an indescribably special moment of the Vanisher, Horizon Scraper tour, a performance so powerful that you just want to live through it again and again.

He left the stage after “FORGONE,” but the crowd wanted nothing more than to just hold on to the moment a little longer before it vanished. The band came back for three more tracks, where Quadeca’s flutist, Olēka, sang with him, adding a fresh flair to his songs with her stunning vocal prowess. The band ended the night with a lively rendition of “Sisyphus,” resulting in an endless clamor of applause from the audience.

Quadeca continues to prove himself to be one of this generation’s most genuine and inspiring musicians, as the Vanisher, Horizon Scraper tour is truly a love letter to his music and to his fans. While the tour is almost fully sold out, there’s still a few available tickets to check out Quadeca for the last half of his tour. You can check out the remaining tour dates here.
