Of Monsters and Men Shares their Headline Show with Toronto

october 28, 2025 - toronto, canada

The energy was palpable as the sold out crowd packed into Toronto’s History late Tuesday night in anticipation of Of Monsters and Men’s The Mouse Parade Tour. As the black drape hanging in front of the stage dropped, the band walked out with an unexpected announcement, that the show had been partially postponed as their lead singer, Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, had lost her voice and was unable to perform. Despite this, the band promised they would play a few songs that night and would be back for a full show as soon as they could.

Determined to make the most of the evening, the band, comprised of singer and guitarist Ragnar Þórhallsson, lead guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson, asked for the audience’s help singing along. With a few excited shouts from the audience of volunteers willing to take on the role of lead vocals, the love for both the band and the music was unmistakable from within the crowd.

More than happy to help, the audience belted songs back at the band, taking in every moment they could. Fresh off of the release of their latest album, All is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade earlier this month, the record has clearly become a quick fan favourite as the audience easily sang along to “Dream Team” and “Tuna in a Can” as they swayed back and forth. Ending the night with “Little Talks”, the chorus of the audience was overwhelming as soon as the opening chords rang out through the venue.

Despite the shortened night, you could feel the love for the music throughout the show as everyone appreciated the moments they shared together. The Mouse Parade Tour continues in North America until the end of November and then carries on in Europe in the new year. Stream All is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade, out now on all streaming platforms.
