Langhorne Slim Rocks The Basement East
February 28, 2026 - Nashville, Tennessee
Langhorne Slim concluded the first leg of The Dreamin’ Kind Tour at The Basement East (also referred to as “The Beast” by local Nashvillians). The dive bar feel of the venue was the perfect setting for Slim’s fusion of rock n’ roll meets folk-Americana music. To get a sense of the vibe, several walls of The Beast were plastered with posters and stickers of bands that had performed in the not so distant past.
Back in November of last year, Slim gave Nashville a preview of his latest album The Dreamin’ Kind. While the album wouldn’t be officially released until January of this year, Slim left Nashville fans eager for another performance. Some fans in the audience even traveled from out of state to catch tonight’s show, and it’s no surprise as to why! A Langhorne Slim show is always full of vibrant and powerful energy. Just a few songs into his set, Slim hopped off of stage with his microphone in hand and went into the crowd. The crowd dispersed to make space and formed a circle around Slim as he danced around and sang to the fans in the audience. The atmosphere felt more like a celebration as fans cheered and soaked in the moment.
A few songs later, the energy of the room shifted with Slim’s song “Rickety Ol’ Bridge.” His bright red acoustic guitar and matching stage lighting set a moody tone. The percussion instruments added a haunting and wild west feel. Slim’s vocals and lyrics seemed to caution the audience about life’s difficulties, while acknowledging that whichever path you decide to take, things will turn out alright in the end.
If you missed out on these first round of shows, be sure to catch Langhorne Slim on his second leg of The Dreamin’ Kind Tour. His tour resumes April 9th in St. Louis Missouri. In the meantime, check out some of the hit songs from the album: “Dream Come True”, “Dance on Thru”, “On Fire”, and “Rock N Roll”. Tickets are on sale now!
