Bad Suns Shine Bright on the Second Leg of ‘Accelerator’ Tour

St. Louis, Missouri - March 31, 2026

Only on a perfect mid-60’s evening would there be a reason to stay inside. However, on the last day of March, Bad Suns had planned a stop in Gateway City, St. Louis, Missouri on the second leg of their U.S. tour visiting smaller metropolitan areas.

The California rockers Bad Suns made an appearance at the local Red Flag venue on historic Locust Street in the Midtown neighborhood of St. Louis. A cozy street within walking distance of the Saint Louis University campus, the small entry doorway could easily be missed by first time visitors. The venue flaunts that early 2000’s grungy style that a 1000 capacity independently owned venue could only portray. The crowd filled the pit area as they eagerly awaited Bad Suns to control the narrative for the next hour and half. Bad Suns are currently midway through their ‘Accelerator’ tour, named after their 4th studio album, consisting of the talented trio of lead singer and guitarist Christo Bowman, bassist Gavin Bennett, and drummer Miles Morris.

The show opened with a new hit off of Accelerator, “Slow Karma”, a groovy and upbeat tune that made sure the fans knew what they were in for from the very beginning. The high ceilings had rows of lights and a projector cascading the new album's logo and the band’s name in large font. The minimal use of lights and theatrics gave the band room to show off their skill and focused more on their sound. The set eventually led to crowd favorite “Life Was Easier When I Only Cared About Me” off their 2022 album Apocalypse Whenever. Christo was able to show off his vocal range during the chorus, belting out the high notes and melancholy lyrics “I hope the pain never ends, a love that’s so bittersweet, life was easier when I only cared about me.”

The middle part of the show focused on showing their new array of songs from Accelerator. With “Mystery Girl”, “Madeline”,and “Why Am I Like This?” showcasing their signature sound of danceable riffs and higher register vocals Bad Suns is known for. They saved their most popular song from Accelerator, “Communicating” for one of their final three songs. The band performed other fan favorites within their set such as the bouncy and severely catchy “Baby Blue Shades” and “Heaven is a Place in My Head” from Apocalypse Whenever. Older songs from their discography were sprinkled in along the night, even going back to the bands first album Language & Perspective with tracks like “Salt” and “Cardiac Arrest” which preceded the finale and got the crowd swaying and hearts palpitating with excitement. Eventually the band played their triumphant last song, “Daft Pretty Boys”, and the energy in the congealed aggregate walls was infectious and the room was spinning with energy. A perfect ending for a show to leave fans new and old happy and wishing for more.

Bad Suns performed similarly to their newest album, accelerated. The band whipped through 17 songs in an hour and fifteen minutes, going one after the other, only to take short breaks to wipe off sweat and catch their breath. Bad Suns came to St. Louis and staked their claim, providing a supernova of a good time to fans with a simple yet effective show. Fans are assuredly in for a wonderful show as they continue on with the second leg of the ‘Accelerator” tour.
