The Brook & The Bluff Bring Werewolf to Life at Union Transfer
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - March 31st, 2026
Nashville indie rockers The Brook & The Bluff rolled into Union Transfer in Philadelphia earlier this month in support of their new album Werewolf.
The four-piece got their start at Auburn University, taking their name from the Birmingham, Alabama neighborhoods they grew up in. Over the years, they've built a loyal following through consistent touring and a sound that leans on rich, layered four-part harmonies.
Opener Cassandra Coleman, a Tennessee native, got the crowd warmed up with her dreamy indie-folk and ethereal vocals.
The headliner played Werewolf in full, opening with the strong lead single "Super Bowl Sunday" and rarely letting up from there. The guitars were loud, the vocals were locked in, and the band performed like a group that had been waiting a long time to play these songs live. Standouts included “Everything Is Just a Mess” and the closing “Father McKenzie,” which showed off the quieter, more soulful side of the record.
If you haven't caught them yet, now's a good time to start paying attention! The Werewolf tour continues throughout April, making stops in the south and heading out west toward the end of the month.
