Happy Halloween from The Wrecks

Toronto, Ontario - October 30, 2026

The Wrecks have finally returned to Toronto, on their Finally Outside headlining tour, making a stop at The Opera House on October 30th, fired up to kick off the first night of Halloween weekend. All decked out in the Halloween spirit, openers Worry Club and Kid Sistr set the bar high as they hit the stage, dressed as cheerleaders and nuns respectively.

With the crowd thoroughly warmed up, the excitement in the room in between sets became a full on dance party, the audience singing along as Smash Mouth’s “All Star” blared through the venue's speakers, the audience only getting louder as it transitioned into “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond.

From the second The Wrecks, also decked out in Halloween costumes, stepped out onto the stage, the crowd erupted. Kicking off the set with “Freaking Out”, the audience became one continuous wave of motion, the floor rattling to the beat as the crowd jumped and danced along, belting every lyric back at the band.

From that point on, there was no slowing down, the band laughing as they grooved and bounced across the stage. Fresh off the release of their latest EP, OUTSIDE, released at the end of September, screams of appreciation rang throughout the venue as the band announced they were going to play a new track and launched into “Split Lip”.

Despite the tall stage, the room felt more like hanging out with friends than watching a performance, the band sharing small moments of giddy delight as they laughed and poked each other, dealing with a few costume technical difficulties and goofing off in between songs, including one very dramatic glasses cleaning intermission. Asking one small fan, Buzz Lightyear, to join them on stage before asking her to cover her ears for the first 30 seconds of “Feels So Good” in fear it was inappropriate, the joy the band shares in their music and with the audience is palpable as they all danced across the stage.

The electric energy multiplied tenfold as the band announced they were going to make a lot of people happy with their next track, gracing the setlist for the first time this tour, as they queued up “Sonder”, which was met with an exceptional chorus of cheers. Slowing down only for a moment, the band assigned slow dancing partners, two fans from opposite sides of the room dressed as a slice of pizza and Sailor Moon respectively, before the crowd became a wave of swaying along for “Infinitely Ordinary”.

Kicking the energy right back up for the end of the night, the set ended the same way it started, a huge dance party as everyone in the audience jumped and sang along. Full of joy and delight, and more than a few laughs that felt like they were being shared by old friends as they rippled through the audience, The Wrecks put on a show you do not want to miss. Catch them on the Finally Outside tour now, continuing across North America until the end of November.
