It’s a Tame Impala x Djo Summer!
Baltimore, MD - July 18, 2026
In the heart of the inner harbor of Baltimore, Maryland, fans were eager for a night of psychedelic jams. Driving past, the crowd was wrapped around CFG Bank Arena and well beyond. Tame Impala and Djo would be taking Baltimore by storm (quite literally, as the weekend was filled with on and off rainstorms and tornado warnings) for two back to back nights on the DEADBEAT Tour.
Around the circular barricade, fans wore “I <3 Djo” pins and held posters with sentimental messages. One fan held a sign saying “KEVIN, you saved my LIFE!!” and others wore t-shirts from prior Tame Impala tours.The two circular stages each had their own unique vibe. The main stage was a layered orange, mettle, and industrial set of steps with wires extending out in the spaces between the layers. The smaller stage was intimate, resembling a 70s bedroom-like floor with cozy lamps and keyboards and pillows scattered around the floor. The stages were a contrast, yet matched the evolving tempos of the sets.
Djo was a clear perfect opener for the evening, introducing mesmerizing vocals and trippy guitar riffs. He began his set with his song “Awake,” a haunting tune that immediately captivated the audience. The air was smokey, and the lights flicked between deep reds and chilling white lights. The energy amped up with his keyboard heavy songs like “Change” and “Basic Being Basic,” both of which have a up beat 80s flare. An absolute favorite of the night was “End of the Beginning.” The room came together and joyously cheered the chorus in unison.
2025 was filled with new albums from both Djo and Tame Impala. Last year Djo released two albums The Crux and The Crux Deluxe, giving fans a ton of new music to enjoy. Tame Impala released the iconic album Deadbeat, filled with notable summer-esq dance tracks like “My Old Ways” and “Dracula.”
The crowd’s cheers echoed through the arena as Tame Impala took the stage. Lights hailed from the ceilings, casting rays of vibrant rainbows and saturated colors all through the air. The room felt a shrooms trip at a summer music festival. The audience was awe struck, soaking in the atmosphere. Jams of the night included “Borderline”, “New Person, Same Old Mistakes”, and “Let It Happen.”
While The Deadbeat tour may have just started, the concert truly incapsulated the energy of summer! Be sure to catch Djo and Tame Impala at an upcoming show on the remainder of their tour.
