Noah Floersch releases new single ‘Ghost of Chicago’

Noah Floersch returns with a new single, Ghost of Chicago

Floersch is known for his quirky indie pop sound and imaginative storytelling. Ghost of Chicago somehow manages to sound new and innovative, yet classic at the same time - a hallmark of Floersch’s style.

Floersch posted a snippet of the first verse and chorus on TikTok, and deservedly, it got a lot of attention. The super staccato beginning instantly grabs the listener’s attention and sets a playful, unique tone.

Floersch’s lyricism leans heavily on imagery; you can imagine the ghost of his ex really haunting him as he goes about his day, drinking his morning coffee and taking a walk in the park.

Although he seems to bounce unseriously between thoughts, the entire concept of the song centers around his memories of his past relationship.

It’s a light-hearted take on a heart-breaking subject. Despite lyrics like “She's haunting me and honеstly/ I'm honored to be haunted by thе likes of she/ lucky me” the song is still relentlessly upbeat.

The single gained over 1 million streams in its first weekend and although Floersch hasn’t released a music video for Ghost of Chicago, check out the live session.
