Rolemodel Delivers a Timely Single “High Hopes 3000”

Rolemodel is back, or should we say Chuck Timely. After a huge breakthrough with his last album Kansas Anymore and its deluxe version with cultural moment and chart topping single “Sally When The Wine Runs Out”, fans have been anxiously awaiting more from Rolemodel. He’s a kid from Maine who was championed by the late Mac Miller and has proven his place among some of the best in the music game, especially within the last few years. He has sold out his headline tours, opened for Gracie Abrams and even had one of the biggest crowd turnouts at Lollapalooza 2025. Everyone has been made aware of Rolemodel within the last year, and it’s only up from here with his newest single.

Just a few weeks ago the teasing started and “Chuck Timely” was introduced via social media, later revealed to have been alluding to the album title Chuck Timely and The Hourglass. Though he has an unserious persona, extreme banter with his fans and various alter egos (RIP Saint Laurent Cowboy,) his music means business and it’s very rare for him to not be releasing quality hits. His first single “High Hopes 3000” off his upcoming album is no exception.

The song begins with timeless keys and his classic holler. The kick of the drums brings in the rest of the band around his first verse. This track exudes hints of influences from past time periods, various genres and artists come before him. It’s got swing to it like a country song, the support of a fluid surrounding band, and bouncing keys to the likes of a Billy Joel song that stand out heavily throughout the tune backing him as he sings “Brand-new shirt, yes, it's a little expensive / Oh, whatever works to put some joy in the engine” This is definitely a full band effort and every instrument used cohesively supports the others. This song could not be more fun to hear and he keeps his energy high throughout (no pun intended.)

The main question he begs in this hit is “Does love come around or does one come around to it?.” His lyricism is the perfect balance between striking and catchy when necessary. The most addicting bridge follows and he sings “High (high), hopes (hopes), Lord knows I could use 'em / I know I'ma lose 'em when the wheels fall off / Hey (hey) now (now), lend some independence / Stuck inside the fences like a goddamn dog” and one can’t help but clap along. This first taste of his upcoming third studio album Chuck Timely and The Hourglass is nothing but good vibes and energy, exactly what the fans want to see.

The album will be released August 7, but for now tune into the Official Music Video and stream “High Hopes 3000” wherever you find your music. This summer is sponsored by Rolemodel.
