Sad Summer Festival stops at Huntington Bank Pavilion

Sad Summer is an annual traveling festival bestowing the best of what pop punk and rock have to offer, one day and city at a time. With previous lineups including big names in the scene like The Story So Far, Movements, The Wonder Years, and Mayday Parade along with many more, Sad Summer has made a prominent name for itself since the event got its start in 2019. The festival got its start following the discontinuation of the coveted Van’s Warped Tour. The idea in creating the festival was to make sure the particular music scenes and artists as well as fans that Warped Tour catered to had a new place to thrive as there is still little representation of these genres at a lot of big-name accessible traveling festivals around the world.

This summer’s main headliner is long times musicians Taking Back Sunday. Co-headlining the lineup are Sad Summer regulars The Maine, proceeding them are Motion City Soundtrack, PVRIS, Hot Mulligan, Mom Jeans, Stand Atlantic, and Sincere Engineer.

Along with a full day of music, the festival offers a wide array of merchandise tents for each various artists/bands and plenty of photo opportunities for those who want to commemorate the experience.

As this summer’s run comes to a close, take a look at the gallery from the festival’s stop in Chicago at Huntington Bank Pavillion and be on the lookout next summer when Sad Summer returns to a city near you!
