Chloe Star sets new Emergency Contacts with OTR

Rising alt-pop phenomenon Chloe Star is back with her latest single, Emergency Contact, the next song in her ongoing series of releasing one new track a month. Turning heartbreak into a full force anthem of power and self love, the track fully embraces choosing yourself over one sided relationships. Chloe sat down for Off The Record to talk more about the release of Emergency Contact and what’s coming next.

Is there anything about releasing this single that you're particularly excited about? How does this fit into the next chapter of your music?

Sonically it is exactly where I want my sound to be right now, so I am pumped for everyone to hear it! I am also just excited because this is one of my favorite songs I am releasing this year!

This song is a collaboration with JP Clark, how did working together change your writing process?

It didn't change my writing process at all. I love working with JP because we share a pretty similar writing process, which is really refreshing. Every writer and producer has their own system, but working with JP is so seamless. Everything fell into place perfectly!

Is there anyone you would consider a dream collaborator in the future?

PINK!

What inspires your artistic process the most right now?

All of my life experiences influence my artistic process! Lately, I feel very inspired by relationships. I really just write about everything important to me or everything I'm going through. To be honest my mind never shuts up so there’s always something to write about.

For first time listeners, what three songs of yours would you want them to hear and why?

"TNT," because people will get the vibes instantly.

"I DIDNT WANNA SAY GOODBYE," so they also understand the pain.

"EMERGENCY CONTACT," so they know that I turn my pain into fun.

Anything upcoming you’d like to tease? What can listeners expect in the future?

I am dropping a music video for my song “Call You Back” in the beginning of April! I'll also dropping a song a month for the rest of the year!

Stream Emergency Contact, out now on all streaming platforms.
