boygenius Release Music Video for 'Cool About It'

Supergroup boygenius, comprised of three legends in sad-girl music, has taken the indie-rock scene by storm. Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker joined forces in 2018 to drop a six-song self-titled EP. Five years later, they’ve finally gotten the band back together, releasing a full-length album titled the record.

Before the record came out, rather than releasing individual singles, boygenius released three at once (“$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry,” and “True Blue”), each of the members doing lead vocals on one. Along with their album, they also released a short film with intertwined music videos for each of these singles. Now, almost six months later, a new animated music video for their heartbreaking song, “Cool About It” is out. The haunting production, directed by artist Lauren Tsai, is the perfect kickoff for boygenius’ fall tour.
