The Bleachers “B4” era begins

For the past two weeks, Bleachers fans have been waiting in anticipation of the band’s first glimpse into their new album. The band deleted their previous Instagram posts in anticipation of the “b4” era and broke their silence on September 7th in a post captioned: “m.g.9.20.”

On September 20th, Bleachers subsequently dropped their single “Modern Girl” which features Bleachers’ classic syncopated beats and an energetic saxophone riff (plus a clear standout lyric, “I guess I’m New Jersey’s finest New Yorker / Unreliable reporter / Pop music hoarder”). While the band has yet to announce many details about their upcoming project, they have not held back from teasing it. “B4 begins NOW,” lead band member Jack Antonoff said in an Electric Lady Studios Instagram post.

The album succeeds the band’s recent live shows, one of which earned its own live album. Crowds like Radio City inspired “Modern Girl” and the “small family” made between the artists and the audience. Based on the anthemic feel and the celebratory lyrics of “Modern Girl,” any Bleachers fan is sure to revel in this new untitled album.
