Some new and some returning performers to headline All Things Go’s NYC festival

All Things Go announced the lineup for their New York City festival Tuesday amidst backlash from fans.

Staged at Forest Hills Stadium on the same weekend as the Maryland festival, the NYC lineup is about half the size of the original but features some of the same artists. Reneé Rapp and Chappell Roan, headliners for Maryland’s Sunday show, are set to headline NYC’s Saturday show, with MUNA rounding out the main performances for the first festival day. Other Maryland performers like Holly Humberstone and Soccer Mommy will take the Forest Hills stage September 28.

Maryland headliner Janelle Monáe will also travel to NYC, with Julien Baker and Ethel Cain being being upgraded to headliners for the September 29 show. Samia will be the only NYC-exclusive act on day two.

After teasing an announcement on social media, All Things Go posted on Instagram last week that the Maryland-based festival would expand to New York and take place on the same weekend as the original. Fans quickly expressed concern over the simultaneous festivals in the post’s comments and on X, citing grievances like poor timing and a lack of consideration for those who already bought Maryland tickets.

Many users also said that what fans really want is improvements to the existing festival, like fixing the lack of accessible water and addressing ticket buying difficulties. After announcing headliners like Laufey, Hozier and Chappell Roan in April, the Maryland festival sold out within two days, to the dismay of many hopeful attendees.

Presale for the NYC festival starts Thursday at 10 a.m. and general sale starts Friday at 10 a.m. According to the All Things Go website, ticket prices will be announced Wednesday and options will include General Admission Bowl, General Admission Floor, VIP Garden and VIP Super Suite. Ticket prices for the Maryland show were not announced in advance.
