Alt-Pop Sibling Duo Wasia Project Back with New Single “2515”
Wasia Project is back, and they have a brand-new sound to indulge in. The highly anticipated return of sibling duo, formed by Will Gao and Olivia Hardy, is marked by their newest single “2515” debuting as the Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1’s New Music Show with Jack Saunders. Having not released since November of 2025, the duo came back swinging in a new fashion, a sound fans may not have heard from them before. Their new single “2515” according to them “marks a new chapter in our songwriting — it’s colder and darker than anything we’ve done before. A song fueled by anger, the sonic mirrors racing thoughts that come with the emotion. With this track, we officially start our journey through night.”
The song definitely makes you want to drive late at night in the pitch black with your car volume nearly breaking your speakers. Heavy with bass and synths, as well as voice effects, it builds up to an intense chorus that takes over all your senses. “You go again and I call it off / I just don’t get it / You only love me, baby / when you bring me down” Olivia sings over top of all the noise, perfectly representing how frustration can feel overwhelming.
This duo always keeps things fresh, with production elements throughout their discography that are everchanging. Their breakout song “ur so pretty” is a piano ballad, while another like, “My Lover Is Sleeping,” is a synth infused masterpiece with unexpected twists and drops. No one song sounds the same as another. This duo is one to watch as they consistently deliver fresh and artistically complex projects, which we can only hope will follow this new single “2515.”
