StrateJacket releases first single from debut album, “BAD START”

StrateJacket, a Northern California's punky alt-rock trio release their first single from their debut album, “BAD START”.

Formed in 2019 and quickly paused due to the pandemic, members of the group Jackson Roemers (lead vocals/guitar), Fabian Angel (vocals/bass) and Nate Mangold (drums) took the unfortunate events that almost stunted their career, and blossomed it into their energetic, rowdy sound that their devoted fans know them as today.

The single is the first song to be announced and featured on EA Sports’ NHL24 Soundtrack in tandem with NHL24's Playlist.

"'BAD START' was one of the first songs we ever wrote together as a band,” says Roemers. "We didn’t know what to think of the song when we completed it. When we submitted it to everyone on our team and they really loved it, it became the template of our sound. It was a combination of loud chanty vocals mixed with these layered keyboards and guitars and a message that pretty much says, ‘I’m an idiot but I mean well.’ It was perfectly imperfect and we’ve really learned to love it over the years.”

The single precedes their debut album to released in 2024.
