Are Catfish and the Bottlemen back? First look at Reading and Leeds Festivals 2024

You know what was not on my 2023 bingo card? The possible return of Catfish and the Bottlemen. The UK Reading and Leeds festivals have just announced their 2024 lineup - including six headliners across the two locations over the weekend. Headliners include Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Ray, Blink-182, Fred again, Gerry Cinnamon, and Catfish and the Bottlemen. Other performers announced were Raye, Skrillex, Spiritbox, and Digga D, with the rest of the line up anticipated to be revealed in the upcoming days.

This would mean the first live show, and first real band news, from Catfish and the Bottlemen in over two years and the first glimpse into a hopeful future for fans. Although the band lineup for their return is unclear, this is huge news for fans, many of whom thought the future of the band was bleak. Catfish and the Bottlemen are Reading and Leeds veterans, headlining in 2021, making this the perfect place to announce their return.

The UK festivals take place from August 21 to August 25 and weekend and day tickets go on general sale at 8:30 am on Thursday November 30.
