Ashe returns to the music industry with the announcement of her brand new album

After releasing a cryptic video on her Instagram two days ago, Ashe officially announced her return to music, this time as an independent artist. Her new project, Willson, marks her third album release and is set to come out on September 6. Though the details were vague, Ashe revealed that what led to her decision to release music independently has been “layered and painful.” Since canceling her tour and taking some necessary time to herself, it seems that Ashe has found herself as a person and as an artist. The title of the album, named after her own last name, holds an authenticity that may carry through the entire project.  

Fans will get the first glimpse of the album tonight at midnight when the lead single, ‘Running Out of Time’, hits streaming. “I feel lucky I’ve been able to take this time, to still be here and that in the end, I’m able to put this album out my way,” she wrote in her announcement.
