2024 Songs of The Summer

Every up-and-coming artist claims they have “the song of the summer,” and you cannot escape this phrase on social media. Major publications, including Vogue and Variety, have already covered their predictions and contenders. With terms like “Brat Summer" and “Charm Summer” popping up, we no longer have just one song of the summer, but a multitude. Now that August is upon us, the Off the Record staff has compiled the songs they've had on repeat these last couple of months.

“Good Luck, Babe!” by Chappell Roan

Chappell Roan’s latest single has climbed the charts since its release in April. With her empowering and unapologetic lyrics, it quickly became a fan favorite, accumulating over 446 million streams. Other songs by Roan, including “HOT TO GO!” and “Pink Pony Club,” have also made it onto our summer playlists. Our team cannot wait to hear her next release.

“Cinderella” by Remi Wolf

Remi Wolf's newest album Big Ideas was released just in time for the summer season. The album showcases her unique blend of funk, pop and indie influences, but one track caught our attention: Wolf’s "Cinderella" has quickly become a standout hit, earning a spot on many summer playlists. Remi’s infectious energy makes it perfect for sunny days by the water or late night parties when the sun is down.

“Look at That Woman” by ROLE MODEL

While the summer playlist features many female artists, ROLE MODEL has blessed fans with a fresh album perfect for the season. His new tracks have not only been ideal for sunny days, but have also sparked speculation that the lyrics might be about his recent breakup with ex-girlfriend Emma Chamberlain. ROLE MODEL will be opening for Gracie Abrams on her upcoming tour this fall, where he is expected to play tracks from his new album, Kansas.

Listen to the rest of the team's songs of the summer, featuring Charli XCX, Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter. Each song brings its own energy, offering your own summer soundtrack for the rest of August.
