The Brook & The Bluff: Groovy Goodness

Atlanta - October 18, 2022

The Brook & The Bluff are bringing their smooth indie grooves to Mt. Joy’s Orange Blood Tour. To say that the two bands are a perfect combo is an understatement. Sounding similar to a 21st-century indie pop version of The Beatles, The Brook & The Bluff pair perfectly with Mt. Joy’s 70’s influenced folk rock sounds. Both bands sound both retro and modern, creating a live show that takes fans on a musical journey to the past, present and future. Sonically, it feels like a taste of what could be today’s Woodstock ‘69.

Comprised of band members Joseph Settine, John Canada, Alec Bolton and Fred Lankford, The Brook & The Bluff put on a live show that uplifts every crowd it meets, Atlanta was no exception. Their discography’s perfect harmonies, groovy bass lines and melodic guitar parts sound even better in person than they do through your headphones.

The band had audience members singing the words to fan-favorite tracks like Halfway Up, Everything Is Just a Mess and Misnomer. Songs that were also being sung by fans waiting in line outside the venue before doors. At one point during the show, they had the whole crowd dancing in unison with the band on stage. The Brook & The Bluff live is nothing short of a good time. I hope to see the band on their own headline tour sometime in the near future because to put it simply, I didn't want the set to end.
