Neck Deep @ Bottom Lounge

Chicago November 2, 2022

After ten years of being a band and releasing their ep Rain In July, Neck Deep embarks on a short run anniversary tour limited to five cities across the United States to celebrate. With intentions of going back to the roots of where they started, the band booked small venues and removed the typical barricade allowing fans to be immersed in the show by crowd suffering and jumping on and off stage.

At their stop in Chicago here at Bottom Lounge, from the moment the show started all the way to the very end, the band was energetic and engaging. There were even a few rounds of lost and found hosted by lead singer Ben Barlow all in good fun as many fans were losing items out of their pockets as they were jumping on stage. Barlow even stopped the show to help a fan on stage and off to the wings to assess an injury and later thanked fans in the crowd for looking out for those around them.

Neck Deep played through their entire Rain In July ep in honor of it’s anniversary as well as some of their fan favorites from previous albums and their newest released single that came out in May of last year. They closed out the show with In Bloom a track off their album The Peace and The Panic, with the whole audience echoing and hanging on every word.
