Los Angeles celebrates Stephen Sanchez’s birthday with a warm welcome

Los Angeles, ca - November 3, 2023

Stephen Sanchez celebrates his 21st birthday in the great city of Los Angeles tonight and around 2.3K of his friends gathered at the historic Wiltern Theater to watch him perform live on stage for such a special night. Give it up to Sanchez to throw in a few birthday surprises for the fans to enjoy before the show. With the help of Amazon Music which was live-streaming tonight’s show, fans were treated with specialty cocktails, a red carpet entrance, multiple photo opportunities that included a 1950s-esque diner set up, and a giant birthday card filled from corner to corner with notes from the fans.

Walking through the venue, tonight’s fans were dressed to impress. From head to toe, fans were dressed in the most glamorous 50s/60s inspired wear, which plays perfectly on theme for this Troubadour’s show.

The night of the Stephens commences with opener Stephen Day warming up the crowd with songs off the 2021 album “The Shapes I’m In.”

Los Angeles get ready to be taken back to the 50s tonight, we owe it all to the velvety sound of California’s own Stephen Sanchez. Opening the show with “Something About Her” Stephen is cast in an angelic silhouette over the crowd with a bright white backlighting. And without skipping a beat we are brought into the second song of the night “Evangeline.”

The stage set gives the look and feel of an old 50s TV set for a kind of late-night concert performance with the help of a giant lit-up marque that reads “Sanchez, Baby,” along with each of the band members having their own smaller stages allowing everyone to be seen from anywhere in the house. And if the stage set alone isn’t enough then take a look at the classy suit and bow-tie outfits of each of the Moon Crests bandmates.

“Doesn’t Do Me Any Good,” as Stephen said, “brings a bit of seduction to the set” while he sways his hips on stage creating a roar of cheers from the crowd with every move. However, Sanchez and his hips are no match for the guitar solo that takes over center stage.

If you’ve made it this far into the set and you aren’t fully impressed by the vocal talent Stephen Sanchez possesses, then just wait until you hear the insane high note at the end of “Be More,” your jaw might have to be picked up off the ground after that one.

“Los Angeles, where are all my pretty women at?” Sanchez teases the crowd before bringing the birthday energy with a cover of “Oh, Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison, and “Shake” off the album Angel Face.

Cheers flooded through this 1930s theater once again with older songs off the “What Was, Not Now” EP and “Easy On My Eyes” 2022 album.

“We are going to close out the show now with one last song–and after this, I’m going to get off this stage, eat some cake, and go to bed.” Sanchez wraps up his birthday celebration with “Until I Found You,” which showcased a high-energy rock outro leading into a pause of instruments and a step back from the mic as the crowd serenades Sanchez and the band with one last chorus run.
