D4VD @ White Oak Music Hall

HOUSTON - JUNE 25TH, 2023

D4VD once again showcased his talent last Sunday in Houston at the infamous White Oak Music Hall.

Touring his new EP D4VD is rapidly making his mark on the indie music scene one show at a time. Before even stepping foot on stage D4VD managed to fill the crowd with immense anticipation for the show to come. The hall was filled with fans dressed in the artist’s notorious uniform; a classic white button-down adorned with decorative red hand prints, expressing just how loyal this community is to their idol.

As D4VD emerged from backstage the starting track was muffled by an uproar of cheers and screams alerting the musician of exactly how energetic this crowd was about to be. The artist began the concert with his hit song You & I; encouraging the room’s energy with a fast-paced beat and punching lyrics. While White Oak holds quite the capacity, DVD was able to make the show feel extremely intimate by consistently interacting with the crowd. Supporting his romantic persona, the artist went as far as to pick out couples in the audience and invite them to sing the lyrics to one another. Song after song was accompanied by the vibrancy of the room, casting a beautiful glow upon D4VD. If you were able to look close enough into the artist’s face you’d be able to see his own awe at the situation he’s worked so hard to land himself in. What started out as a bedroom passion project for the eighteen-year-old has bloomed into a sold-out tour, that is sure to pass the expectations of him and his loved ones. The show was wrapped up with his infamous song Romantic Homicide swaying the audience into a spell-like state. As tears rolled down fans’ faces and couples kissed, the artist surprised everyone by joyously jumping into the crowd. As he was carried across the venue by the sea of supporters, he, appeared to be exactly where he belonged. Despite this only being the beginning of his career, D4VD put on an amazing show that set a standard for the rest to come.
