Greta Van Fleet puts on a stellar performance in Nashville

Nashville - July 24, 2023

Just three days after the release of their latest album “Starcatcher”, Greta Van Fleet set out on their Starcatcher world tour, with Nashville being their first stop.

Fans came from many different states and various other countries to experience the first night, of the new tour, with their favorite band and friends that they had made along the way. Many showed up to the venue early to take pictures with one another, say hello, pass out handmade band themed bracelets, and show each other the outfits they had created based on inspiration they had gotten from members in the band.

The curtain was released, revealing the Starcatcher logo, and with it a symphony version of their newest music started to play. As the lights dimmed, the anticipation within the room hit new heights. An enthralling light display danced on the curtain as the pace of the music quickly picked up. Then, in an instant, the curtain dropped, revealing all four members of the band standing on the back platform of the stage set up.

Starting off the night with a popular favorite “The falling sky” set the tone for the evening. Within seconds, the first cannon of the night went off and the fire didn’t take long to follow. Taking full advantage of both cat walks, very early on and throughout the entire show. Their energy on stage was almost intoxicating, feeding off of one another and the crowd.

Making sure to see everyone in the arena, they had a separate stage set up in the back for an intimate acoustic set. On this stage they performed a couple covers to include the classic “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers which floored the audience. Fans were left speechless after that, though they had no idea what was to come. Another cover was performed along with their very own, “Anthem”, both of which all band members harmonized on, and by the sound that erupted in the arena from the fans, it was something that had not been done in some time.

If there is a moment from this show that will not be forgotten by anyone who attended, it’s the fan project that thousands participated in. During the second to last song of the night, “Light my Love” fans held colored pieced of paper to the flash light on their phones. A wave of emotion washed over frontman Joshua Kiszka as everyone swayed and sang along while creating a bright breathtaking rainbow throughout the arena.

So what can you expect when attending a Greta Van Fleet show? An unforgettable rock show with intense guitar solos, angelic vocals, heart pounding bass solos, an astonishing drum solo, a breathtaking light display and a whole lot of fire. In essence, a memorable night that will leave you wanting more.
