The ethereal and charming English singer-songwriter James Bay returned to Dallas this week at the Echo Lounge, for a heartwarming night of indie folk-rock music. From the moment he strummed the first chords of "Best Fake Smile," the audience was captivated. Certain sing-a-long fan-favorites were also on the setlist, like the 2014 hits “Let It Go” and “Hold Back The River”. Bay's raspy yet velvety voice filled the lounge, sending shivers down the spines of fans who had eagerly awaited this moment. His passionate performance and heartfelt lyrics resonated with the diverse crowd of all ages, drawing them into his world of music and guitar-based storytelling.

The 33-year-old is known for his versatility, transitioning seamlessly between acoustic ballads and soft-rock anthems. He expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from his Dallas fans and emphasized how much he missed performing live during the pandemic. His long, brunette waves cascaded softly beneath his signature fedora, with dark denim and a black blazer layered over leather boots to match.

Be sure to check out Bay’s new song, “Goodbye Never Felt So Bad” and the rest of his discography on all streaming platforms.
