Through The Lens at Benson Boone's Fireworks & Rollerblades Tour

philadelphia, pennsylvania - april 14th, 2024

As a photographer, I've had the privilege of witnessing many performances, each with its own unique energy and story to tell. Yet, there are rare occasions when an artist's concert surpasses the ordinary singing back of songs that fans have hit replay on over and over, and becomes an unforgettable spectacle of connection with fans, passion, and pure joy. Benson Boone’s recent concert at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA was one of those occasions. It was a captivating performance including a burst of colorful lights, energy, and music magic.

As Benson took the stage, the crowd was electric. The auditorium was consumed with energy and love for his music and for him as an artist. The audience was dimly lit as they cheered while Benson began with his intro song titled, Intro. Though quiet in the beginning, Benson’s presence was magnetic and commanded attention with every move and gesture across his keyboard.

The concert itself progressed into a whirlwind of excitement and emotion, each song sang by Benson was matched from his fans in the audience. Benson created an infectious energy as he hit every note and every flip around his stage. From behind the lens, it was incredible to watch him bounce around from all angles of the stage. With every click of my shutter, I wanted to capture the raw emotion and passion emanating from the Benson and the crowd, freezing moments from such a special night.

But beyond the music, what truly stood out to me was the connection between Benson and his audience. Benson came down to the barricades and made sure to connect with his fans by reaching out and singing directly to them as individuals. It was a perfect example of the power that music has that can unite people who may be strangers but connect through one shared connection.

As the concert went on, the audience members danced and sang along with Benson. He made sure to include some hit songs like “Beautiful Things” and “Cry” off of his new album Fireworks & Rollerblades. It was absolutely incredible to see fans of all ages in the audience and in the seats upstairs filled with joy and excitement to share the moment together. Benson Boone’s concert was definitely one to remember and will surely be a lasting memory for anyone who gets the chance to see him preform live on during the Fireworks & Rollerblades tour.
