The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die Brings Life to Racket In NYC

new york city - september 13, 2024

Currently on Tour with Norwegian progressive metal bands Leprous and Fight The Fight, The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die brings a more melancholy sweetness onto the stage compared to their heavier touring counterparts on Friday the 13th. With a crowd made up of Norwegian metal fans and elder emos, they played the lively Racket in NYC, taking the stage second and splitting up the show with their difference in sound.

Along with a band name you’ll never forget, The World Is A Beautiful Place’s performances are just as memorable. The six-piece band is highly in tune with each other, they feel the music they are making together as a whole. They are synchronized and focused; every note they play and sing is created purposefully. If you love music, you will love watching them perform.

Fight The Fight opened with an energetic and loud set, making a point to get the crowd involved with their music, and as the venue slowly filled, TWIABP quietly took the stage. In a venue full of many Norwegians and metal fans, they are an interesting and perfect addition to the lineup. They are captivating, with a softer sound and less intensity than the other performances, but they brought the venue to life, commanding everyone’s attention with only their presence. Two fans to the right of the stage danced and swayed erratically during the entirety of the set, visualizing the impact of the music for any onlookers.

Dedicating a song to those in Palestine, they are honest and true to themselves, using their music to make a statement. What the band is unapologetically feeling on stage is felt strongly by those in the audience after every verse. Without fail, The World Is A Beautiful Place is impactful and veracious with commanding melodies and a dominant presence. They played old and new songs alike, touching back to their 2000s emo roots. Twinkly, intricate guitars and synth meet with powerful vocals and lyrics as front man David Bello waltzes around with the microphone. The passion for his art is eminent in his face and is just as noticeable in his fellow bandmates.

Playing a memorable show that the audience won’t forget, The World Is a Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die was an impactful addition to their Norwegian touring mates. The rawness in their sound paired with the loud opening of Fight The Fight and the intensity of Leprous created a dangerously good lineup leaving Racket’s crowd wanting more.
