Fit For A King Brings the Lonely God Tour to Toronto
toronto, canada - november 18, 2025
Fans of Fit For A King packed into Toronto’s History late Tuesday night, the queue wrapped around the building buzzing with energy even before the doors opened. Headlining a heavy hitting line up, the show opened with 156/Silence, followed by Spite and Make Them Suffer, each raising the stakes as they hit the stage. The excitement and joy in the audience was palpable as crowd surfers dove towards the stage and pits opened up through each set.
With the energy already through the roof, the crowd settled for a moment as the lights dimmed for Fit For A King, their opening video queued before the band stepped out on stage to an unrelenting chorus of cheers. As soon as the first chord of “Begin The Sacrifice” rang throughout the venue, the crowd surged towards the stage, head banging and singing along to the opening track off of their latest album, Lonely God.
Released at the beginning of August, Lonely God marks their eighth studio album since the band’s inception in 2007. Made up of Ryan Kirby on lead vocals, Bobby Lynge on guitar, Daniel Gailey on guitar, Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary on bass, and Trey Celaya on drums, Fit For A King has solidified themselves as a force to be reckoned with in metalcore.
Taking a step away from the introspective nature of their previous releases, Lonely God expands their story telling all the way to the end of the world, taking the time to build a developing storyline within their music. Dominating the set list, each track was met with a resounding chorus of excitement as fans screamed the lyrics back at the band. Tracks like “Monolith” and “Extinction” spark an unrelenting procession of crowd surfers falling towards the stage, each excitedly running back into the audience.
The show slowed down for a minute for “Between Us”, about as close to a ballad as Fit For A King has gotten, with emotion you can feel throughout the room as the crowd sings the chorus “I just want to drift away into nothing / I just want to feel this pain miles away” along with the band. Dialing the energy back up for the end of the set, the audience openly embraced tracks like “TECHNIUM” and “Lonely God” as they jumped and danced along.
